As you know, our online petition is up and running. However, many folks don’t have access to the internet, so we created a Quiet Orinda petition that you can print out and circulate. We need as many signatures as you can get, and fast! When completed, send them to Quiet Orinda, P.O. Box 804, Orinda, CA 94563… and Thanks! Here’s the link to the pdf-formatted petition:

We fully support and applaud your project. Last summer we finally told our gardener that he could no longer use the leaf blower on our property, because we couldn’t stand the noise and pollution. Guess what? He simply said “Okay.” We provide good quality rakes and a wide broom, and the gardner doesn’t spend any longer here than when he used that intrusively loud, pollution-spewing leaf blower.
Our personal version of “Just Say No” is a tiny victory, but maybe it will spread to our neighbors and beyond.
Thank you!
Don and Lucy Galen, Danville
Thanks Don and Lucy – yours is a great story- gardeners work for us, and we have the right to establish the methods employed to maintain our proerties. That said, if the job took a little longer, I’d have no problem paying for a little more labor!
